Southborough - Pinewood Gardens (Kent)

Thanks to Richard for writing to from Kent saying "My 5-year-old son has become very interested in Redwoods and we recently discovered some in our home town of Southborough, near Tunbridge Wells, Kent. I think they are Wellingtonia based on their cones but not sure. There are, I think, 7 in this patch. The location is between St Andrews Ct, Southborough, Tunbridge Wells TN4 0LZ and the Ridgeway playing fields." Co-ordinates: 51°09'31.4"N 0°15'43.1"E Five years old is very young to be starting an interest in Redwoods, I hope it lasts! The trees are definitely Wellingtonia, thanks for including the close up photograph of the cones, that was a great idea because it is one of the most specific identifying characterstics of these trees.
