| Thanks to Shane for letting us know about two Redwoods next to the M1. He said he "was talking to the chap who owns this small woodland that he has planted over the years. He’s 85 and has many exotic trees including Dawn redwoods which were too difficult to get a decent picture, crowded by other trees right next to a large pond. He was a fish farmer, now retired, and he knows his trees. It’s private sadly but you can see them from the road. There was another coast but again too crowded by other trees. I reckon the giant is 40 to 50 years old and about 80 to 90 feet the coast I would say is about 30 to 40 feet ." |
