Thanks to Simon for sending the above nicely composed photographs of two Giant Redwood at Ufford Park Golf Club. Simon mentions,"They are both at the dog-leg on the par 4 8th hole of Ufford park golf club. The golf club is near Woodbridge, Suffolk. One of the trees is a nice tall example, the other has lost its top half and has sprung a side branch that has taken over where the top has left off. I have collected cones from these trees with hope of growing one in my own garden" It will be interesting to see how the broken tree with the side branch grows over the years, its a odd shape and who knows how large a growth of main stem it will be able to support from a branch?
