West Wemyss - Wemyss Castle Estate (Fife)

Thanks to John for sending a photograph of a Giant Redwood near Kirkcaldy. John said, "This tree is located on the Wemyss Castle Estate near West Wemyss in Fife. In fact it is beside the now disused West Drive to Wemyss Castle, at the junction with another estate road. The tree is known locally as the Punching Tree because you can punch it without hurting your hand. It was also known as the rubber tree or the cork tree for the same reason. " There's no mistaking that it is indeed a Giant Redwood and in what looks like a very peaceful setting.
