Mark wrote to say; "I was pleased to read the BBC website article on redwoods thriving in the UK. I've been an admirer of these giants of the forest for some time, culminating in a family visit to Sequoia National Park and Yosemite National Park in California to see the big tree groves there in 2014. Once seen, never forgotten, they are awesome. When visiting Northern Ireland this week I came across several specimen trees in the gardens of Mount Stewart National Trust property near Newtownards, Co. Down which doesn't appear on your website; well you can't be everywhere can you! It's a stunning garden with lots of specimen trees planted by the Vane Tempest Stewart family at their "cottage by the sea"! " Thank you Mark, a great find, and you're right I can't be everywhere so I rely on eagle-eyed contributors such as yourself!
