In Church Street, Great Baddow, just a little further on from the peculiar shaped Giant Redwood on the High Street, you will find this one. This is a nice example of what may happen when the growing top is damaged by lightning or a severe storm - you can see that the trunk has split into two, making an attractive variation on the usual single-stem style of Giant Redwood growth. |
