Eardisland - The Mount (Herefordshire)

Giant Redwood	AA box

The location of this Giant Redwood meant that taking photographs was limited to a distant shot between lots of other trees, and measurements were nigh-on impossible without the aid of a rowing boat. It is situated on a small piece of land known as The Mount, which is all that remains of Eardisland castle, and is surrounded by a moat fed from the River Arrow. Nearby in the village there stand an old AA box, a nostalgic sight to those old enough to remember them although of course my granny told me about them!
