Thanks to Sam wrote to tell us about the many Giant Redwoods (Sequoiadendron giganteum) in Alvechurch. These stand in School Lane and Sam wrote; "We have a number of Giant Redwoods in the village of Alvechurch. The local magazine wrote an article on them a few years ago. Here is the link. They are amazing trees!" The Redwoods in the second photograph "are outside the back entrance to a very beautiful, large Georgian/Victorian House called The Shubbery. They are quite a size. This house is next to the graveyard, at the top of School Lane." Thank you for letting me know about the Giant Redwoods in Alvechurch and for the link to the very interesting article in the local magazine. I am quite jealous of you having a Redwood in your front garden!
