Alvechurch - Swan Street (Worcestershire)

Giant Redwood - February 2022

This Giant Redwood stands in Swan Street, Alvechurch. Sam wrote to say; "There was a lovely large, old house, built in 1881 or 1882, they knocked it down in 1990 and built three new houses, mine being the one on the end/corner of School Lane. So, the trees on the original property are slightly younger, and therefore smaller than the others in Alvechurch. There is a bungalow at the back of the three houses in School Lane, which was, apparently, built on land, sold earlier, from the original 1881 house. Their tree looks particularly healthy, but is more protected than mine in School Lane. I have open fields opposite me, (I tried to count them once, and there are at least 15 fields), so it can be extremely windy!"
