Thanks to James for sending these photographs of a Sequoiadendron giganteum in Clarence Park, Wakefield, West Yorkshire. James wrote; "It looks like the top of this young tree has been damaged possibly in the strong winds we have had recently. There used to be a much larger tree in the park nursery grounds but today I found it had been cut down." It's a shame about the larger tree being cut down, let's hope this youngster will prove to be a worthy replacement and once more provide a landmark tree for the area.
