Tunbridge Wells - Salomon's Estate (Kent)

Thanks to Richard for informing us about this very fine Giant Redwood "at the Salomon's Estate which is part of Canterbury Christ Church University. Attached is a photograph taken last autumn. I had not thought to measure the girth, but am standing on the right in the picture and am 5'11'' tall." This picture shows the sheer size of these magnificent trees in comparison to a human being. Bear in mind, of course, that this tree is still very young at less than one hundred and sixty years old. It still has plenty of growing to do, in fact it has only just started!
