Thanks to Rob who sent the above photographs of Giant Redwoods (Wellingtonia / Sierra Redwood) growing in the grounds of Ripley Castle, North Yorkshire (a few miles from Sawley). He was unable to gain entry to the grounds at the time so was only able to take photographs from the roadside. Rob says, "The wall next to the roadside tree is 6 foot 5 inches tall (I measured with tape), 77 inches so you can work out a height of the tree. Not massively tall, around 75 feet."
