Giant Redwood - June 2012 |
We encountered this surprise find while on an evening stroll around the outskirts of Perth. It has a slightly odd shape in that it consists of a relatively slim overall profile in terms of its foliage and yet it has an incredibly stout trunk such as one would expect to see on a tree with larger branch spread. Peggy kindly sent some information about this tree. She wrote; "It is on the grounds of the old Cleeve House. If you take the google man down to the estate you can rotate 180 degrees and see the redwood a few blocks over." |
