Thanks to John who sent these photographs of the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The top two pictures are of Coast Redwood. He says "The rhododendrons were not out at this time of year but the gardens were superb. The picture of the western red cedar does not do it justice, it is covered in ferns on one of its huge branches. Most of the pictures are taken in the jungle area which is set in a valley.

I believe that Heligan is the best garden in the country. A must see for any garden lover. With the damp mild climate in the jungle valley, they have thermometers that are set at varying positions and altitude to monitor conditions so they know what they can grow there. There are huge rhododendrons that must be the biggest in the U.K. and banana trees etc.
