St. Albans - Highfield Park (Hertfordshire)

Giant Redwood - May 2020

Thanks to Amanda for sending this photograph and she wrote that this tree is; "...one of the redwoods in Highfield Park. See details at The Highfield Park Trust website. There are others but this is the one marked on the map." The link Amanda sent points to a leaflet showing a tree trail map with an index to the trees, and we noticed that there is also a Dawn Redwood listed. Additionally, there's a Swamp Cypress which is useful for anyone who is interested in comparing these two types of tree.
