Hatfield Broad Oak - St Mary the Virgin church (Essex)

How very sad to see this lovely Giant Redwood standing in a rather neglected corner of the graveyard. The best and most unusual tree at the church, in our somewhat biased opinion perhaps, is surrounded by heaps of branches trimmed from other trees and the bark has been burnt by a fire. No matter, the Wellingtonia is still healthy and thriving despite its surroundings.
