Weobley - Garnstone Castle (Herefordshire)

Thanks to Denise & Chris for supplying the above photographs of an avenue of Giant Redwoods in Herefordshire. "The avenue of 22 Wellingtonias form the border to a drive which used to lead from the road up to 'Garnstone Castle' which was demolished some time ago. You can however still see remains of the drive, together with outbuildings and the original elaborate iron fencing." There appears to be plenty of space between each tree. A fine avenue and the first to be added to the Redwood World web site in Herefordshire! The avenue must have been quite a magnificent approach to Garnstone Castle before it was demolished in 1955.
