More photographs of Giant Redwoods along the A835, taken by Tam. He wrote; "These are a few of the photos I took of some Giant Sequoias on approach to Lael Forest Garden from the south. As previously mentioned, there are app 20 something Giants all along this wonderful stretch of road. One of them has been spectacularly struck by lightning. The one beside the Lael approach sign is 7m in girth."

Thanks Tam. It will be interesting to see how the tree recovers from the lightning strike. Giant Redwood are quite immune to most of nature's ravages - wind and disease rarely have much effect on them, but their height is their Achilles' heel when it comes to lightning.
