I was looking for more locations of them as I happened to capture this one as a 3d model, here's the link to it and it can be found here at this google map location" This picture captures not only the colour but it also shows the typical fluted form to the trunk of a Dawn Redwood. The foliage and overall shape of the Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) is often confused at first glance with that of the Swamp Cypress (Taxodium distichum), but the latter is also distinguished by a smoother and less fluted trunk.
