Thanks to Ken who told us about this Dawn Redwood at the boundry of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. He wrote; "It's part of an art installation and is tree 02 on their list." Although it seems the placing is a great idea, it appears as though the tree is struggling to survive. The ground around it is completely paved so I wonder whether it is suffering from a lack of water, or air to the roots. Hopefully the designers will be able to resolve this problem in the near future.

* * * Update - February 2023 * * * Ken wrote to say "I regret to inform you that this tree has been removed." Thank you Ken for letting us know, it's a shame but not altogether surprising, it was struggling back in 2021 as described above.
