Thanks to Ben who wrote asking us to identify this tree. It is a Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens). Ben said that "unfortunately it's a little hemmed in by an ash on one side & a large old laburnum on the other. I have cut them back as much as possible and the Redwood certainly has more room now than it had." The tree will be very happy to have more space, the bark looks in superb condition, as does the foliage. |
