Giant Redwood - November 2023
Ross wrote to say that he "Spotted these trees on a walk on Saturday morning near Woodcote, South Oxfordshire.
It would be great to have confirmation that they are (or aren't) redwoods."

Yes, they are definitely Giant Redwood (Sequoiadendron giganteum). Well spotted!
I did wonder whether they are some very young ones in the background too, I couldn't quite tell from the photograph.

"That's great, thanks for confirming. I was 90% sure they were Redwoods but always good to have an expert take a look. :-) Yeah, there were a few younger, smaller ones dotted around too. I reckon at least 10 redwoods in that spot. They're just off Bradley's Street, Reading, RG8 0NG. Heading down the footpath from Bradley's Street, they're on the left in a kind of clearing. Not 100% sure if they're on private land; there wasn't any fencing or signage to suggest so."
