| Thanks to Peggy for these photographs of Giant Sequoia in Perthshire. Peggy wrote; "There are many Giant Sequoia in the Kinnouill, Perth area - here are three large ones located at 56.400143, -3.417250 that I suppose could be Patrick Matthew trees. They are on the grounds of an empty old estate of which I couldn't find the name, but the walled garden has been renovated and a Walled Garden Cafe established:
'The garden – together with its cafe, art studio and joinery – provides work for around 40 people with severe and enduring mental health problems, giving them a chance to lead productive lives, free from the pressures many full-time jobs would bring.' (Scotsman)" |
