Old Windsor - Burfield Road (Berkshire)

Thanks to Andrew for sending us this picture of two Giant Redwood trees (Sequoiadendron giganteum) along Burfield Road. Andrew says they are, "on a green just off Burghfield road (B3021) in old Windsor. There are many other Wellingtonia in the gardens of some rather large houses along the same road."

On a recent visit I found that Andrew was quite right, there are a number of Giant Redwood trees in the vicinity. This often occurs, I wonder whether it is the result of one person spreading their newly-found trees, or perhaps people planting them after having seen them growing for a few years in the neighbourhood.
