| Sarah wrote to say "I came across your website when I was trying to identify a very large tree that I admired from my office window. I work at Hellesdon Hospital in Norwich, it is the local psychiatric hospital. The hospital opened in 1880 with much of the original buildings still in use, mainly as offices. I believe there is a very beautiful and thriving giant redwood tree in the hospital grounds. I will hopefully this week when I’m next in the office measure the trunks girth. I also plan to contact the hospital estates department to see if they have any information about the tree and how long it’s been growing in the grounds. I have taken photographs from opposite sides, the first photo includes a three story ward in the background and the one from the other side has my partner standing underneath (he is 6 foot tall).
