Thanks to Mike for this find in Derbyshire and for the detailed description of how to find it.

Mike says, "This tree is a giant redwood and in the village of Norbury, Derbyshire. I went there hoping to claim the first tree for Staffordshire, but sadly for me the tree lies about a quarter of a mile beyond the border. Anyone wanting to visit it should park up by the River Dove in Ellastone, Staffordshire, then walk over the bridge into Norbury, Derbyshire. On the left of the bridge are stone steps leading to the riverside. Down there is a path heading towards a weir and a wood. About 400 yards inside the wood, at the top of an embankment and well off the track, is the giant redwood -- well and truly crowded by all the other trees as you can see from the photographs."
