| In a field along the driveway into Down Hall hotel in Matching, stands a fine pair of Wellingtonia. They may not have the most bulky foliage, but they make up for it in their height and in the stature of their trunks. On the same field there is also a Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens). | |

| Twenty years had passed since the first visit to Down Hall Hotel and, rather unsurprisingly, the Redwoods had grown. The tallest Giant Sequoia had gained some 9 metres in height and a bulging root! The second tallest had added 5.5 metres to its height. | |

| The Coast Redwood nearby and the other Giant (which is over a hedge and maybe in another property) were not measured in 2004. | |
