Manchester - Vimto Park (Greater Manchester)

Thanks to Ty who wrote in April 2020 to say "I live in Manchester City Centre and with the current lockdown (2020) I have had to restrict my trips to the countryside and be more inventive with my City centre walks. On one such walk I recently realised that there is a Giant Redwood and Dawn Redwood side by side in a city centre park, Vimto Park." Lucky for us you have been varying your walks Ty, and you found an appealing pair of Redwoods.

Thanks to Tom who sent this photograph of the Redwoods from the road in June 2020. He said he was trawling through the website and decided to check out the two trees listed at Vimto park on his daily walk. "There are actually 4 redwood trees in the park (I’m pretty sure). In the picture on your site there is a second Dawn Redwood tree lurking in the shadows behind the Giant. There is also a fourth, another Dawn Redwood standing alone slightly away from the pack." I didn't connect the name Vimto with the drink of the same name until I spied the bottle! Thanks for letting us know about the extra Redwoods at this site.
