Thanks to Andrew for these photographs of Redwood trees at Brays Nature Reserve.

Andrew says, "there are six Coast redwood and five Wellingtonia, one of which has had its uppermost section chopped and only has a few branches, fortunately there are two young Wellingtonia growing nearby to make up the difference. There are lots of other trees too - all labelled - including an imposing Monkeypuzzle."

It is sad when trees are cut in this way, for whatever reason, but it is also good to see new trees being planted to replace them for next generations to enjoy.
