A lovely tree, this one, and as you can see it towers above a lovely old house that was built sometime between 1841 and 1851 by a man named Roberts. This is just a few years before Giant Redwoods were discovered, so perhaps the first owner bought and planted the tree to complement their new home. If only they could see how well their handywork is progressing. |
