Thanks to Adrian for letting us know about this Giant Sequoia in Lichfield. He wrote "I noticed a plaque on a tree in Beacon Park and my curiosity compelled me to approach it. Having only superficial knowledge of arboreal matters, I knew merely that the tree was coniferous and was pleasantly surprised to learn that it is a Giant Sequoia. The tree is located between a statue of Captain Edward Smith of RMS Titanic, and a tennis court, some fifty feet from the former. It can be seen behind the statue in this photograph from 2007. That web page also contains the GPS coordinates of the statue."
