Thanks to Christine who wrote to say; "These Giant Redwoods are on the 'Redwood Trail' at Silverburn. This Special Park was once the grounds of a large house (now demolished). The beautiful trees are still there, old yew trees, Ginkgo biloba, large pine and fir trees. The Walled Garden is being restored, as is the Flax Mill and cottages that are nearby but also in the grounds. The flax mill and cottages are old red brick buildings. A cup of tea and scone is served at the cottages opposite the flax mill (Wednesday -Sunday, 11am-3pm). The whole area is fascinating and it is just five minutes walk from Leven beach. What more could you want. To get there take the A915 from Leven towards Lundin Links. A mile out of Leven is a signpost to Silverburn Park. Follow the sign and look to your right and you can spot these Coastal Redwood. A visit to this Local Community area is highly recommended. I am sure local 'Redwood-People' would be interested." It's often the way with these large estates, although the houses have gone, luckily many of the trees that were planted for them remain. The location seems like a great place to visit from your description of the other trees and the nearby refreshment facilities.
