Kinlochard - Ardross House (Stirlingshire)

Thanks to Tam for the above photograph. Tam says he found "Two nice Sequoias I found at Ardross House on Loch Ard. The two of them are 7m in girth. No1 (right hand side in photo) is at an elevation of 39m, and is at NN46667 02219; WGS 84 N56.11164, W4.28205; OS N56.11166, W4.28158 No2 (left hand side in photo) in photo is at an elevation of 36m and is at NN46635 02231; WGS 84 N56.11167, W4.28224; OS N56.11169, W4.28177 I spoke to the gardener here and he was saying that due to the soft ground here with the high rain fall many trees get blown over when the high winds pick up. I mentioned to him the photos of the forest down south after the storms in '87 showed only the Sequoias standing."
