Hawkwell - Rectory Road (Essex)

Giant Redwood - March 2023

Thanks to Rob for the discovery he made of a superb Giant Redwood in Hawkwell - just six miles from my home and I didn't know it was there! On my initial visit in March 2023 it was not an ideal day for photographs and only the top part of the tree was visible from the road, so no measurements were taken either. When I get a chance on a blue sky day I will call on the owners and ask about measuring and getting better photographs of the tree.
