Two young Giant Redwood are growing in the park off School Lane. As can be seen from the photograph, they have lush foliage with branches right down to the ground. They are obviously in fine health and well suited to the ground conditions. |

Thanks to Vanda sent information about another Giant Redwood in Town Park. She says "the Sequoia tree that is in Harlow Town Park near the Spurriers area, where until recently it overlooked the skate park. I understand that it is about 100 years old. At the moment , Harlow council is in the process of re-vamping the Town Park and has already relocated the skate park." Although the Redwood certainly looks to be in the thick of the renovation work, it is a good sign that it is still standing and hopefully will be in pride of place when the works are completed. |
