Coast Redwood - "It’s a young, tall specimen"

Aidan has made several other contributions to the Redwood World Locations section, this time he sent photographs in January 2021 of Redwoods at Chantry Wood in Guildford and he wrote; "There is a young Giant sequoia and a Coast redwood, however the Giant sequoia has unfortunately died recently. It was perfectly healthy the last time I visited in October 2019 so I’m not sure what happened for it to die so quickly. Hopefully the original will be removed so they can plant a new one in its place." That's a shame about the Giant Sequoia, and yes, let's hope they decide to plant another to replace it, although perhaps not necessarily in the same spot.
