Giant Redwood - April 2009
This Giant Redwood is hidden away in the churchyard at St. Mary's. The tree was obviously blighted some years ago by an immense tree creeper, the stem of which was many inches across. Thankfully someone had cut a metre or so of its stem away.

How marvellous to see this Giant Redwood's glorious red trunk without a trace of the ivy in 2024.

Another piece of good news was that two very fine Dawn Redwoods also stand in the cemetery.
One had a serious infestation of tree creeper but some kind soul has dealt with it by cutting several inches of its stems away.
