Dawn Redwood
Tam sent the above photograph of a Dawn Redwood in Glasgow. Tam says, "After visiting Kelvingrove art gallery I went for a walk through the Botanic Gardens. It did not take long before I came across this Dawn Redwood which is 2.5m in girth and 12m tall. I did not have the time to check out all of the park and wonder if there are any other hidden gems!"

Thanks Tam, perhaps soon you will be able to explore the Botanic Gardens a little further.
Thanks to David for writing to tell about his visit to the Botanic Gardens. David says that he "found a few specimen in the Glasgow Botanic Gardens arboretum after seeing Tam had not fully explored yet. The arboretum also has two specimen Coast Redwood and several Giant Sequoia which I estimate all specimens are around 40ft, so still quite young."
