Giant Redwood January 2019
Thanks to Jan and Jo who told us about this Giant Redwood tree growing at the entrance to the 55 acre estate.
The Jacobean house was built sometime in the 16th or 17th century by Sir Francis Bacon and was altered and enlarged in the 18th and 19th centuries.
It stayed in the family until it was sold in 2000 to Edward Haughey, a life peer and Northern Ireland's richest man who was tragically killed along with three other people in a helicopter crash in 2014.
