Farnham - Alice Holt Research Station (Hampshire)

Thanks to Hugo for writing to tell us about this Giant Redwood in Hampshire. Hugo wrote; "This fine stem is on the lawn of the Alice Holt Research Station at SU80414271. Its girth is 27’ @5’. The height to its round top 100’. Others grow in the grounds of the Research Station as well as in the arboretum, but this by far the finest. On the same lawn there is a large Dawn Redwood as well as a fine Coast Redwood. There are stands of Coast Redwood nearby which are now impressive, and a small stand of Dawn Redwood."
