Elvaston - Elvaston Castle Country Park (Derbyshire)

Thanks to Jim for sending the above photographs of a Giant Redwood in Elvaston Castle Country Park. Jim says, "There are two Redwoods located at the front of the old house, each at the bottom of an avenue of other trees. On the way out of the park we saw a smaller Redwood about 20ft tall but my camera battery had gone flat, so will send you a picture of this one as well when we next visit." The estate is located off Borrowash Road (B5010) in Elvaston, 4 miles south-west of Derby. Jim sent a photograph of the young tree he mentioned on his earlier visit. "The small one is situated along the path at the side of the old show ground. Not too old by the look of it!"
