East Kilbride - Redwood Crescent (Lanarkshire)
|Thanks to Tam for the photographs of this Giant Redwood in Redwood Crescent, and thanks to his work colleague for the tip! Tam says "After discovering that the aptly named Redwood Drive did in fact have Redwoods on it I spoke to a friend in work. He proceeded to tell me that he had taken his kids to see a huge tree off the main Redwood Drive and actually in a little park off Redwood Crescent.
After work I thought I would investigate the area only to be stunned when I located another spectacular specimen of Sequoiadendron giganteum. It is 5m in circumference. It is surrounded on all sides by Sycamore and Ash it has proved difficult to get a really good photo. I went back to it today and tried to lean back to capture it all in one photo."
|It is sometimes difficult to find the best angle to take a photograph, especially when other trees are in the way. Well done for managing to photograph the tree in difficult circumstances. Occasionally, a picture of the trunk is the best that can be captured with any clarity!|
