| The slate sign reads: "This giant redwood (Sequoidendron giganteum) was planted around 150 years ago when George Fownes Luttrell owned the castle. Some of the oldest trees on record are over 3500 years old... making this tree a toddler if it was in human years! IT'S STILL A BABY REALLY!" |
