Thanks to Richard for sending the above photograph of a Giant Redwood at Kingston Maurward Gardens.
Richard says that this tree measures 8.28m in girth in 2008.

This was one of the Giant Sequoias that was on the list to visit during a holiday in Dorset during 2011. The visit revealed a truly magnificent tree, with a girth of 9 metres which puts it in the top ten girths measured by Redwood World (in 2011). It stands in a field with plenty of space, but with an interesting companion: Bad Hair Pavilion. This is a wooden structure designed by twelve second and third year students as a computer modelling and pavilion design exercise.

"The main redwood viewed from the car park.
What a fantastic tree!
"

"The trunk of the Redwood."
Thanks to Aidan who sent some updated photographs and details about this tree and also some other Redwoods in Kingston Maurward Gardens in June 2021.
He wrote; "I visited Kingston Maurward in Dorset the other day and it seems the big redwood is growing rather well,
as when I measured it, it now had a girth of 9.57m! Thats the biggest redwood I’ve measured so far!
"

"If you look very carefully you can
see me at the bottom of the tree
"

"In the formal gardens I spotted this young Giant sequoia."

"There’s a nice grove of Dawn redwoods by the north side of the lake.
I saw a young Coast redwood next to these as well but I didn’t take a photo of it unfortunately.
