| Thanks to Susan for telling us about this young Giant Redwood that stood, for a number of years, on the corner of Valence Avenue and Wood Lane in Dagenham. |

| Sadly, on a visit in August 2013 I discovered that the tree in the first picture had been hacked down, the culprit was unknown to the council. On the opposite corner there is another young Wellingtonia, standing less close to houses, which was looking very healthy. |
