Cookham - Stone House Lane (Berkshire)

Giant Redwood - August 2022

Peter sent this photograph of a rather fine Giant Redwood in a pleasant riverside setting and he wrote; "on a walk along the Thames in Cookham (in-between Marlow and Bourne End in Berkshire, just north of Maidenhead) I saw this giant redwood on the other side of the river. It’s in the riverbank garden of a private home on Stone House Lane. It looks to be quite an oldy for one in the UK!" Thank you for letting us know about this tree Peter, I expect it is benefiting from the close proximity to water, especially in the hot Summer months.
