Clitheroe - Queensway (Lancashire)

Thanks to Peter who wrote to say "in Clitheroe Lancashire there’s a triangle of green just entering the town centre which has a bus stop on it with roads along each side, just in front of Sainsbury’s. A number of years ago, the council (I assume) planted a pine on it which is growing well, and then a couple of years ago a new conifer appeared which I suspected might be a young Wellingtonia. It didn’t do anything growth wise until this year and I’ve just noticed it beginning to stretch upwards I believe." It's great to see more young Wellingtonia being planted by councils and this one certainly does look like it's starting to reach for the sky with that prominent leader!
