Coast Redwood - 2007
Thanks to Linda for providing the above photograph of a Coast Redwood in the grounds of Chatsworth House. Linda says, "We went to Chatsworth and there was a Redwood tree. I expect you have already seen it but just in case we took a photo. We had trouble finding it (very long walk!) as it wasn't where the map said but I think I found the right one - the bark was all squidgy. It was difficult to get a good picture but the thought was there!

Thanks to Kerry for sending the above photograph that shows that there is definitely a Giant Redwood at Chatsworth as well as the Coast Redwood reported by Linda.

Giant Redwood - 2009
Thanks to Jan for the above photograph of two Giant Redwoods on the Chatsworth Estate. A marvellous setting for two fine specimens.

Jim kindly sent photographs in 2017 of "the magnificent giant redwoods at Chatsworth House, Derbyshire. There are quite a few grand specimens dotted around the estate and on a recent family visit I managed to get some decent shots of mature trees but also I found a few younger examples. One of the trees even has its own viewing platform set in the rocks which surround it. "

Thanks Jim, it's nice to see young trees being planted, especially on large estates where hopefully they will be nurtured and protected, and survive for many centuries to come.
