Buckingham - Royal Latin School (Buckinghamshire) |
Approximately nine trees plus this baby are to be found inside the Royal Latin School grounds, whose gates were unfortunately locked. This was the only photograph worthy for display and a re-visit will be necessary at some other time. If you have time to spare pay a visit to the old gaol (now a museum) in the middle of the town. There you will see the small dark cells and learn, amongst other things, that Victorian Buckingham was a very pleasant place to live for those not consigned to the cells. The railway came in May 1850, no doubt carrying some of the sapling redwoods that now tower over parts of the county. |
