Thanks to Clive who wrote to say; "I believe there may be redwoods (or some similar looking species: very tall, non-native conifers with a slightly conical trunk and thick, soft bark) growing at Leuchie House, just outside North Berwick in East Lothian. I think there are four altogether." I'm pretty certain that they are Giant Redwoods, well spotted. Their profile is just right and the soft bark is the final giveaway!
